At Itinerary Guide and Tracé.es, we believe that every object carries a story within it. That's why we explore skills and traditions, to better showcase them. Today, this quest led us to meet a unique artisan, Maddy, who transforms a simple cotton thread into a delicate flower.

A passion that became a mission
Maddy has held a crochet hook since childhood, a passion passed down through generations that has evolved over the years. What began as a hobby has become a full-fledged activity, characterized by meticulous attention to detail and an ever-growing thirst for creation. After a while, the fruits of her labor began to overflow her personal space. It was at this precise moment that Maddy decided to give her creations a second life and, in doing so, embark on her own adventure. Her dearest wish today is to share her expertise and the value of her pieces with a wider audience.
"Crochet is just a succession of knots," Maddy likes to say.
Art and matter: a precious know-how
For Maddy, the material is as important as the technique. She has chosen to work primarily with recycled cotton. While this material sometimes limits her color choices, it provides an ideal base for creations that aim to be timeless and environmentally friendly.
The creation of each flower is the result of meticulous work. While the first piece always requires more time to master the stitches, the following ones come to life more quickly, even if each one requires a minimum of 40 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes of work.
This timeframe testifies to the value of each piece, far removed from mass production. It is the price of patience and quality, which makes each flower unique.
A collaboration that makes sense
Our collaboration with Créamade stemmed from our desire to create something beautiful and lasting. The project aimed to design an object that would be a true symbol: a tribute to the poetry of nature. The flower emerged as the obvious choice, embodying the idea of an eternal cycle. These creations reflect a craft passed down through generations, a handmade treasure to cherish forever.
